Would you like FDIC insurance coverage up to $50 Million on your CDs?

A safe, convenient solution for large-deposit investors
Until now, there were only three ways an investor could enjoy full FDIC insurance on deposits larger than $100,000.00: open and maintain accounts with multiple banks, invest with one bank by transferring ownership and registering accounts in the names of family members or corporate affiliates, or work through a broker-dealer.

Now, all that has changed
As a member of the Certificate of Deposit Account Registery Service (CDARS), United Community Bank can now place a customer's large deposit in multiple CDs issued by other FDIC-insured institutions. Since the amount of each individual CD does not exceed the $100,000.00 insurance limit, CDARS enables us to offer large-denomination depositors a convenient, safe fixed income investment alternative that is eligible for full FDIC insurance. So now instead of dealing with multiple bankers and multiple pieces of required paperwork, our customers have the convenience and peace-of-mind knowing they are dealing with the people they know and trust here at United Community Bank.

At UCB, we are very excited about the significant benefits CDARS can offer:
• Security of full FDIC insurance coverage
• CD interest rates
• Interest-payment flexibility - interest paid monthly or at maturity
• Ease of managing all your accounts at one Bank
• Security of working with people you trust at United Community Bank

If you would like more information or would like a quote of our current CD terms and interest rates, call a customer service representative at any of our locations.
